Property & Casualty Insurance Claims

Overview: Majesco is a digital insurance platform that offers software for P&C and L&AH insurance companies.

Problem: The digital software and insurance space moves quickly and the need for up-to-date, user friendly training continues to grow. Much of the existing curriculum is out dated and has changed as Majesco's product capabilities continue to expand.

Solution: Adapt and redesign curriculum that provides context for Majesco's application and can be used on-demand, allowing users to learn what they need when the need it.

Design Challenge: The outdated content resided in multiple formats and locations and did not include recent application updates. Much of the existing training content was created as a "quick fix" when the company unexpectedly transitioned from all in-person instructor-led to fully remote training. As the company's training initiatives have grown to include a philosophy of continuous learning with employees owning their learning, the new course designs needed to reflect that ideology. The result is succinct, approachable, open navigation self-paced courses that can be easily updated along with the company's growth.

Development Process

Working with P&C Claims subject matter experts, I created an outline of learning tracks that users would be able to navigate openly

These learning tracks were designed to allow users to learn new concepts as well as review elements of Majesco's application as needs arise.

Course Redesign

Transitioning from instructor-led recordings to eLearning courses allows learners to consume curriculum more succinctly and at their own pace.

What was previously hours of recorded meetings and text-heavy supplemental slides is now an interactive, visually stimulating and concise curriculum. The design of the course was also updated to reflect the company's recent rebranding.

Knowledge Checks

The course contains naturally integrated knowledge checks with specific feedback to ensure that learners are able to understand the content and also make it applicable to their work.

Learning Plan

The learning plan for this topic was divided into two courses: A pre-requisite overview course and a "mechanics guide" which covers a wider, more in-depth exploration of the software application and its features.
